Doris Edna Jones Oliver, 87, of Crownsville, MD, passed away on August 16, 2014, after a brief illness. Doris was born November 30, 1926 to the late Irvin and Edna Queen Jones. She received her education in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Doris was employed with the Department of Army, Fort George G. Meade Laundry Department, for 30 years. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and served as a communion steward. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by six brothers, Cornell, John, Edgar, Earl, Calvin, and Irvin Jones. She is survived by her husband, James Oliver, Sr.; two daughters, Carline Oliver and Carlease Oliver; one son, James Oliver, Jr. (Bernadette); and two grandchildren, Michael and Shawnte Oliver. Homegoing Celebration Service will be Friday, August 22 at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, 921 Generals Highway, Millersville, MD 21108. Public viewing begins at 9 a.m., Christian wake at 10:30 a.m., followed by funeral at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by Reese and Sons Mortuary, P.A.

Aunt I'm sitting here looking out my bedroom window watching the workers prepare your worldly home. I'm smiling knowing that you are back with Irby Edna and the Boys in your Spiritual home. We are going to miss you but things are as they should be. Back together again. Your Nephew Reggie
