Kacia Smouse Obituary



On Sunday, April 5, 2015, a 32 year resident of Davidsonville, MD and formerly of Cape St. Claire. Beloved wife for 48 years of Larry Smouse; loving mother of Chandra Smouse and Brian Smouse and his wife Samantha; sister of Tom Robertson; grandmother of Cassandra Barber and Nolan Smouse. She was a member of Davidsonville United Methodist Church and was on several committees there. She volunteered as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and with the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center. She taught for ten years at Yorktown Elementary School in Bowie, MD and for fourteen years at Central Middle School in Edgewater, MD. She loved to spend summers in Myrtle Beach with her family. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 5 to 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Davidsonville United Methodist Church, 819 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD 21035 on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment will be in the church's cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to the church.

I am incredibly sorry for your loss. She sounds like a very special lady. Girl Scout leaders hold a special place in my heart.

All of us will miss Kacia. We enjoyed many early dinners at Ruby Tuesdays when I lived in Annapolis. She was wonderful to work with at Central Middle, either in the media center or in the science dept. We will meet one day up in the heavens. Farewell good friend. Will miss your Frostburg visits.
