I always teach my kids to fight for what they want and to never settle for less than the best! You are the perfect example and I only hope they follow my words. May you rest in Peace and know you have changed many lives!

Every time I watch Men of Honor, I am amazed all over again! I wish I had had the honor of meeting Mr. Carl Brashear. There are few movies that three generations can watch together and all agree that it feels like the first time. This many years later, we still clap at the end and are thankful all over again for the man, the hero, Mr. Carl Brashear. We pray you rest in peace, on behalf of the Hatcher family.

Mr. Brashear you were a very strong black man. I watched men of honor over 20 times and it still brings me to tears. Thank u for paving the way for other African Americans to for fill their goals as a navy diver just like you.

I first met Master Chief Brashear when I invited him to be our guest speaker at the Black History Awareness Week at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, Md. He was an exceptional good speaker and it was an honor fore to get to know Carl. We became good friends and his legacy will live forever. I have watched this DVD 30 times and am never tired of it. It would seem Carl sharing his life makes him immortal too all who got to know him through this film. I pray God uses His spirit to overcome the similar experiences for other discriminating issues.
