Cheryl was a wonderful daughter, a very dear sister, an amazing aunt and a loyal and considerate friend to many. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith. She enjoyed sharing her faith by doing readings at Mary, Star of the Sea in La Jolla, and was a very active part of the Rosary prayer group which supported many positive causes.
Cheryl worked as a technical support agent for a couple of different cable companies. She received her technical degree at Coleman College and a BA degree at San Diego State. She graduated from Point Loma High School in 1978.
Cheryl succumbed to a long battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her mother, Dorinda Lindvall of La Jolla; sisters, Kris Pernicano of La Jolla and Kathy Landrum of Oahu, Hawaii; and nieces, Laura and Lisa Pernicano also of La Jolla.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 7669 Girard Ave., La Jolla, CA 92037.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cheryl's name to any Epidermolysis Bullosa charity location of your choice.

I was so blessed to have such a dear sister. She was always there when she was needed. She was very supportive of all the people she knew.
She never liked to complain about anything or anyone instead she would focus on the positive.
It is with such sadness and great loss that I have to say "bye for now" to Cheryl. I feel I am a better person for having had her in my life.

Cheryl you will be missed. I was blessed to have known you and to have spent our time together! You will always be in my heart, lovely lady - so gentle and kind hearted. Rest with our Heavenly Father and please pray for me!

Mary & I have known Cheryl for some fifteen years and along with loved ones, friends & acquaintances, we are saddened by the loss of such a gifted, caring & tender person. Cheryl had a delightful sense of humor and engaging personality that quickly turned acquaintances into friends and friends into admirers.
While finding it difficult to say goodbye till we meet again, we find it slightly more comforting knowing that God is welcoming Cheryl to his side in anticipation of the pleasure of enjoying Cheryl's engaging personality and bountiful enthusiasm that she once shared with loved ones, friends and admirers.
