Thinking back on my work career, I am lucky enough to have many memories that make me smile. I got to spend a good deal my career with Al. Always easy going, always rolling up his sleeves to dive in, and always ready to have a good laugh, that was Al. How can you not look back at those times and smile. A rock solid bass player with many different bands, he was always fun to go out to hear. They say that we are the sum total of our experiences and influences. That being said, I'm all the better for having had Al in a portion of my life.

There are some folks that have special meaning to us as we journey through life. I played in bands with Al for close to 20 years. He was a good friend. He was also a great bass player, sound man and vocalist. He had a strong voice and love to brag that he didn't need a microphone to be heard. We had a lot of great adventures during our time together. I will miss him dearly. He could be stubborn at times but I would trust him with my life and would take ten just like him. Farewell, Big Al as we use to call him.
