Eleanor and I grew up together. Her father was the miller at Carr's Mill, and I lived on the farm nearby. We went to Sunday school together with her sister Betty, at the Presbyterian Church in Bel Air. We kept up with each other all through the school years and after we were married. I moved away and lived in many different places...Tennessee, St. Louis, Reading, Pa, Phila. Pa, and Norwalk, CT , but we always kept in touch. Our birthdays are the same date and the same year...So I was looking forward to our yearly phone call on April 12th. I have many lovely memories of my best friend at school...Eleanor. I now live at Crosslands, in Kennett Square. Glad to be near home. I still have some of those wonderful poems that Eleanor wrote. Thankful for those years and peace to all. with love,

Thoughts and prayers to the family. I remember growing up in the little house in Zion next to the Osborne Farm - always had a great time playing barbies with Molly - Janet (Mischler) Byington
