You were such a beautiful, warm, caring woman and it was a privilege to know you. Your legacy lives on in your wonderful daughter, Nita, her husband John, and their three sons. John & Karen Hockenberry

As a little girl, I have such wonderful memories of Aunt Marilou coming to visit Mom & Dad, and our family in Baltimore. She would often visit with her sisters, Regina & Dolly. Everyone would sit around the kitchen table and listen to great stories about when they were young. I can hear everyone laughing as if it was yesterday. As I grew older, every time I saw Aunt Marilou, she was exactly the same; incredibly kind and gentle, sharing her witty sense of humor and her adorable laugh. What I will always admire the most is how Aunt Marilou persevered in achieving her goals with the utmost grace, courage and humility. Thank you for these memories.

As the Assistant Director at OLLI for five years, I had the privilege of working for and with Marilou. She was a tireless volunteer who always comported herself with utmost grace and dignity. She will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry I am not able to attend her Mass tomorrow morning, but I am recovering from an injury and am unable to drive. My thoughts will be with you all.

I have know Marilou since I was a little girl here in Chesapeake City when she would come and.visit her sister Dolly. Her niece Lydia and I are good friends. Maryilou was a pillar to our little church here in town, St. Rose of Lima. I will always remember her and miss her.
