Dear Barton Family,

You have my deepest condolences on the passing of Mrs. Barton. Growing up in Louisa (Mineral), I could always count on two things for my birthday, I'd get a card w/ money from my late grandma and I would get a birthday cake. My mother, who's a great cook/baker, would opt to get my cake from Mrs. Barton, cause she knew I loved her cakes, and she knew Mrs. Barton would love to see me as I've known her for many years. (She also would slip me some cookies or candy she made and I'd eat it before I get home and had to share....shhhh)

I met Mrs. Barton at the old laundry mat where the bank and post office is in Mineral. There, she and I would play Old Maid and War. We had fun in those days and it was then I started to love that woman. She is in storyline of my life and I appreciate all that she did and who she was.

Again, my deepest condolences on your loss, on our loss, of such a beautiful lady. May you rest in peace Mrs. Barton.
