My wife, Ruth, and I were truly saddened to hear of Max's passing. For twenty years Max and I worked closely together both at TAFE, in the automotive trade and in chainsaw classes as well as farming activities. Our friendship was full of laughter, and comraderie. We were both dedicated to ensuring the best for our students and forged lasting bonds with many of them.
Ruth and I extend our heartfelt sympathy to Ann, Andrew, Phillip and Rachel and their families. Unfortunately we're overseas at present so unable to attend the funeral.

I am saddened to hear of Max's death. I enjoyed working with him at Bathurst TAFE and greatly respected him and his ability as a teacher. Max was held in high regard by his peers and his students. I offer my sincere condolences to Ann and his family.

Max was truly one of my favourite people.
He had the greatest sense of humour and was always so incredibly encouraging.
I will miss him dearly.
