So many good memories of Fairmount Elementary school - I can still remember Mrs. Toothman all these years later! So sorry to hear she has passed on. They don't make schools and teachers like that any more. Condolences to her family and friends.
I was with Mrs. Toothman in room 121 for first, second and then third grade. She was a warm and loving teacher. I remember her reading Julie Andrews' book "The Last of the Really Great Wangdoodles" aloud to the class. She will be remembered for years to come. I was extremely lucky to have her as my teacher.
Thank you for your service to our great country! R.I.P.
So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Toothman was my elementary school teacher. Very caring and wonderful memories of her. I am blessed to have known her. (Jennifer Hettich)
I had the pleasure of knowing Eulene, volunteering at the State College Woman's Club.I had the deepest respect for her and admiration. I loved her stories about her earlier life in Baltimore, and her husband that she clearly loved so much. She was a class act. My sympathies go our to her family and loved ones.
I had Mrs. Toothman for 6th grade at Fairmount Elementary School. She was a wonderful teacher and a sweet lady. I'd often see her in more recent years and she always asked about my family.
Fond memories of what a fine teacher she was! At first, scared our son half to death, then earned his great admiration and respect.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Eulene. I have very fond memories of working with her at Fairmount Elementary School. You all have my deepest sympathy.
