Sorry for your loss, Russ shared a room with my Dad (Lawrence Tate) at Centre Crest. He was very kind and looked after my Dad, even though he had his own health issues. Russ always had a smile for everyone, and I am sure you miss him alot thinking of you. Shawn kuhlman

Whenever I think about Uncle Ross, I will remember his jokes. He was always telling a joke or a good story. When I was young and he was in the air force he would come home to visit my grandmother and I always thought he was "really important" because we always had a big get together when he visited. I will miss him alot!!!

Our sincere condolences in your loss. So many memories...visits each summer while serving in the military, playing cards late at night at Aunt Ginny and Uncle Jim's place, and always squeezing the knee and hearing you say 'let's see if you like the boys'. You will be missed but our family has been blessed by you.

Sorry for your loss Rossman crew, Russ will live on through you as well as me. True he wasn't my grandfather but he sure treated me as if I was one of his grand kids. I feel honored to have met and know this great man!

I had the honor and privilege of working for Russ for a number of years at PSU. Professional....highly competent....courteous and caring for his co-workers......a true gentleman. A truly great guy! You couldn't say one thing that didn't remind him of a joke or a good story! I just visited him last week at Centre Crest (I visited him regularly after I found out he was there), and his passing makes me very sad. Even though he was in declining health, he always gave me that same smile that you see in his picture EVERY time I came to visit. He made a positive impression on my life....he will be missed by MANY people, I am sure! My SINCERE condolences to his entire family. Peace be with you.

Please accept our sympathy for the loss of your father and grandfather. I know you can take consolation from his long and active life. Russ was one of the kindest, friendliest, and most generous men we have known. He was always willing to share his time, talents, and humor with us, the church, and the community. In later years he was always honest about his growing infirmities, but in our visits he accepted them with grace and uncomplaining courage. He will be missed, but we are better for knowing him.

Ronnie and Rusty..thank you for the tribute to my beloved Uncle Russell in sharing the accomplishments of his life through the obituary you composed. I will try to bring the same amount of honor in celebrating his life when I deliver the message at the funeral. I recognize your trust in me and deeply appreciate the opportunity to do this. He deserves to have everyone know that he was a good and strong man in every possible way. His smile and the twinkle in his eye in the photo you published was the same as my daddy's. We are so blessed to have had each one as our father. Uncle Russell will always live in my heart right beside my daddy.

My condolences on the loss of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. Uncle Russ was a great man. I will always remember the times spent around the campfire while hunting at Uncle Bud's. Uncle Russ' stories would keep me laughing the whole time. I will cherish the memories I have of my great Uncle Russ.
