Dear Pete, Jan and Paul:

I am so very sorry to hear just today of your Dad's passing and wish to send to all of you my deepest, heartfelt sympathy and sadness at Walt's passing. I always loved talking to your Dad and Mom when I visited your house over a million times at Cornwall Rd in Park Forest Village! Walt was a unique, intelligent, good-natured man who was a pleasure to know and was always kind, friendly, jovial and fun with me whenever I was in your home. He led a very unique and interesting life and I remember my Dad Lou also had a great respect and fondness for your Dad, too. I will miss him but always be glad he was a prominent person in my life as I was growing-up in State College. I hope that your endearing memories of the many years you all spent with Walt will provide you with some comfort as you grieve his loss. I hope he and "Big Lou" are enjoying a cocktail together in heaven and are looking down on all of us and having a good laugh over all our collective shenanigans through the years. God Bless all of you. You have my loving thoughts and prayers to you all and as always, my support!

with love and affection:

I only met Walt and the love of his life Shirley on a couple of occasions. I found both of them to be class acts all the way around. We all had an unusual bonding moment one Sunday afternoon during lunch in State College that will remain a part of my memories for a long time. Talk about being graceful at a difficult time. That was what both of them exhibited to me and I was impressed beyond words. I will miss Walt with his passing and Shirley just because of other reasons. Walt was truly a man of great accomplishment during his lifetime and the world was made a better place with all of his hard work and dedication to mankind. I have seen absolutely no signs that there are still men like Walt walking this world today and we are all less fortunate with his passing. God speed Walt Freeman.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Freeman family in this time of sorrow. We feel honored and blessed to have known Walt as a friend and neighbor in Aaron Village. He will truly be missed by all.

Thanks to Keaton Freeman and his keen eye for detail, for picking up on a typo in another site announcing Walt's service arrangements. Plans are made for Dad's celebration of life being held Nov. 10th, at 2:30pm, at the Nittany Lion Inn Fireside Rm. NOT, the 20th as printed elsewhere. Hope you all can join us.

Love, PU
