Dear Diane, David and Donald (spouses and children/grandchildren),
I have so many memories of the three of you and my brother, Jeff, and myself growing up together as young children. And our parents being friends when we lived next door to each other. I know my mother and Doris H had stopped by to see your mother from time to time in past months.
I recall the times when the hardware store was a thriving business in Port Matilda and still have memories of that. The attic in the store was really fun to explore.
David - I remember when you took I think a hatchet and decided to cut or chopp into the corner of the front porch of the house..........and we ran screaming from the bee nest that was inside there. Think both of our mom's were ready to smack us when they heard the screaming cause we scared them so bad....and I still have a huge fear of bees today.
David do you remember when we took a ride on the motorcycle and I ended up with a big gash in my knee?
I don't want to use this venue to talk about all the memories flooding back when we were children.
Although I had not seen your mother for a while (I'm in the Pittsburgh area now), I think of all of you often including your mom and your dad - God rest their souls and they are together again.
So please accept my sympathy and my family's sympathy on the passing of your mother. She will be missed very much I'm sure.
Robyn Grove and
Norma and Jeff and my dad Bill "in spirit". I'm sure Dad and Ann will say hello to each other in heaven and will think about many great memories!
