Betty and your family

Jim was such a special person and gifted artists. We were so lucky to have had the opportunity to know him and experience his gracious being. He will be so missed. We were grateful to be able to make a contribution to the James Myford Scholarship Fund at Slippery Rock in honor of his incredible gift of teaching and inspiring those around him to be better people.

Betty and family,
My heartfelt prayers and well wishes go out to the entire Myford family. Jim was an incredible person. He shared his life with everyone and always had a smile and laugh to send your way. I had the privilege of knowing Jim for 24 years. His life's happiness was his family. He would open his heart and welcome you with open arms. He was always a positive force in mine, Elizabeth's, Lauren's and Trevor's lives.

A true gentleman in every aspect of being. You will be missed and forever remembered Jim.

My deepest sympathies. I only saw Jim once or twice a year; but in those brief meetings, you could tell he was a kind and generous person.

That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind. - William Wordsworth

And oh, what beauty Mr. Myford has left behind for us to enjoy and gain strength from. I'm so lucky to have had him in my life, he taught me much and from him I am still learning. He will never be forgotten and always fondly remembered.

My deepest condolences to Betty and Greg, Donna and the grandchildren. My thoughts are with you.

Mr. Myford was provided much guidance and insight as I started at Slippery Rock College. He always had time to listen and encourage, and his was advice wisely taken. The Myfords were part of the SRU Arizona wintering group..Stackmans, Paganos, Scarinatis..the best of the best! May God bless your family.
