Katherine, Shannon and family: I am very saddened to hear of your father's, grandfather' and brother's passing. My hearfelt condelences and prayers are extended to you. It is very difficult to lose one parent, let alone both parents within 1 year. It probably seems very surreal to you. May you be comforted during this time and always by God's grace and words.
I always admired Chad and Shelby's marriage which had a strong bond of love, admiration and respect as one saw in Chad's and Shelby's marriage. It was apparent in the pictures taken in the 70s through now. The love and admiration seen in their eyes for each other whether they were directly looking at each other or not could not be missed. Chad and Shelby are together forever - what a blessing. Upon her passing, Chad probably couldn't wait to be with his beloved Shelby again.
Chad was my first crush on Hollywood star, and will probably always be in my heart as a reminder of my childhood. What attracted me to Chad was not only his good looks (who could resist those blue eyes and dimples) but his inner beauty which showed through his words and actions. He was comfortable in showing others who he was whether it was through the poems he wrote or helping those less fortunate with his time and money. I had the privilege of meeting him a couple of times and found him to be warm, caring and funny. He was a role model and mentor who, along with Shelby, leave a great legacy. Chad - I will miss you greatly. God's speed to you.
