...a Legend, now, and forever missed by those who knew him, and worked for him.
I am Proud of working here for over 30 years, and even Prouder that "CHK" knew me by name. He was a man of class, and
distinction, who went out of his way to make sure that his "People" always had a paycheck at the end of the week.
God Bless You Charlie.

My sincere condolences to the Kaman family. I grew up with Kaman as a household word as my father had started as part of the engineering staff in the original garage and worked with Kaman until he died in 1967. I met Charlie and Robbie later and was so impressed with their dedication to their dogs. They were most gracious. Charlie was always larger than life, but also a down to earth person.

While I only worked at Kaman for 4 1/2 years I did have the honor of meeting Charlie a few times, always a gentleman.

Charlie Kaman was a great visionary and leader over many years of his own companies. . He also was a thoughtful intelligent member of my Board of Directors at
Security Connecticut Life Insurance Company and provided advice without getting more involved than appropriate. He had wisdom and a considerate thoughtful way of influencing others. It was nice to have known you Charlie.

I learned a great deal from Charlie and many others while working at Kaman. It is easy to see why Charlie would say, "Kaman's strength is its people." True then, true today, true tomorrow. Kaman, the man, will be missed. Kaman the company is a fine, lasting legacy.
