To the Geddings family. You do not know me, but I went to the College of Charleston with Lisa. I just saw her name listed in the passing section of the College magazine. I have not seen her since college, but I am not surprised from the amazing words and many accomplishments of Lisa as identified in this guest book. I know she will be missed.
December 5th i sent this message to Christan
I am regularly watching the news in Nia and I just read the words of Debbie :
On Sunday, November 25, 2012, the world lost a gifted teacher, mother, healer, and radiant woman. Lisa Geddings was a loved and celebrated Nia Black Belt Teacher and Life Coach.
How sad, I think of her children, her husband, her family and friends and especially of you, who was her best friend.
I have not too many words, but wanted to send you this message of sadness, and tell you that I have good memories of you and Lisa.
All my best.
Love and Light.
Lisa was an Angel from Heaven that transformed lives and led people to God. I was moved by her light, presence and love for her children. Rest in peace beautiful soul. Love & admiration
Mrs. Rivers, Ron, Lisa, and Mr. Rivers, I never thought that you all would be together in heaven so soon, but you are. The grief chokes me, and my heart heavy aches, but it is obviously God's will. Each one you holds a very special place in my heart. I have LOTS of WONDERFUL memories to hold me until we meet again. Love, Sandi
Lisa LIVED a great life and touched so many in movement and manifestation. I was blessed to have shared space, time and intent!
Something drew me to Lisa's Facebook page to see her beautiful and smiling face and I just was overwhelmed with sadness to know that she is no longer present physically with that vibrancy and knowingness. And loving spirit. . My prayers are with Lisa's family and friends. What a difference she has made in so many lives... Love you Lisa
I am just floored by the news of Lisa's passing...as a fellow Nia Black Belt, I thought of Lisa as a sister of the heart/mind/body/spirit...I had the honor of hosting her at our home for one of the belt intensives at StudioNia, and got to know this beautiful, graceful, gracious woman better. What a great loss to our Nia community, and to the world. My deepest sympathy to her entire family and to all her dear friends on this loss...
Byron, Keith and Andrew, I just saw the news and I am so very sorry for your loss. Lisa was one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I was honored to have her as a coach and to call her a friend. Know that she lives on in all of us that benefited from her work and influence in our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
My heart goes out to Lisa's beautiful family and for the void that her physical presence will leave in the lives of those of us who love her. I am deeply grateful to have known her and danced with her. She will always be an inspiration to me in her fierce commitment to life, to truth, authenticity and connection to spirit. I am sorry I was unable to be present for the memorial ceremony, but glad my Mom was there, representing our family. I know it was beautiful. Blessings and love to all her boys.
I see my childhood friend in the face of this beautiful woman. I picture us at Nativity School, at the James Island YMCA, dancing to the Commodores in her parent's house, listening to her practice her piano lessons- I am smiling. In reading these heartfelt sentiments, I get a glimpse of a very special lady who touched lives with her knowlege and humor. I am thankful to have known her. May God bless her family and may time ease the acuteness of their grief. Rest in peace "Riv"
My prayers are with you all. She is at peace and rest.
Lisa, thank you for your greatness and especially your intent...for loving connections and empowerment you offered
To your family, the strength to endure this very difficult time.

I will always be grateful for knowing, loving and being loved by Lisa. She brought me back to life, and now she rattling another cage. Heaven will never be the same!
"Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted"
Byron and Family, God will be with you at this difficult time. Take comfort in knowing that Lisa is with Him and suffers no more.
You were one of the strongest persons that I have ever had the honor of knowing. I wish I had the chance for one last hug goodbye so I could tell you what you really meant to me.
Byron, Keith, Andrew and family; no words can express how deeply saddened and shocked I was to hear of Lisa's passing. I was honored to call Lisa a friend, teacher, a coach and fellow dancing Diva! She Illuminated a path for me, which led me to see myself more clearly and ultimately to move from DC to Charleston. I will miss her deeply but in Lisa's own words when you loose someone "you don't have less when they are gone". She imparted gifts to everyone she touched. May her light always shine a path ahead for you in even the darkest of days.
I am so grateful that I had a glimpse of the enormous spirit named Lisa Geddings! Thank you for your joyous laughter. You will be missed.
A Tribute To Mrs. Lisa Geddings
A long time ago, ancient words of wisdom and truth were spoken about a woman of noble character. More than anything else, these words adequately describe and speak to the life and character of our beloved Lisa:
“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. A wife of noble character is her husband's crown. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her saying many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise.”
Lisa was and her spirit remains a light to illuminate my path, warm my heart and help me see the blessings in my life. She was an all too brief presence here- may all her family know how broad was her influence and how loved she was.
Words fail us. We are blessed with memories from our childhood through our adulthood.
We'll miss seeing her again, but will take comfort in her eternal spirit.
Thank you, Lisa, for being you.

May God's peace be with Lisa's family at this most sad time- you are in my prayers as you grieve. I was blessed to call Lisa friend & fellow dancer for many years & will miss her vibrance & her joy. With my sincerest sympathy & love, Amy
I had the privilege of babysitting Lisa and Byron's awesome kids when they were in charleston. I got to experience her wisdom and laughter firsthand. Lisa had an inner beauty that surpassed her physical beauty. She not only spoke of living a healthy life, she lived it. She encouraged her boys, and me too, to not be afraid of our dreams, but rather to grab them full on. She introduced me to the art of nia and I always say if I became a mom I would want to be as laid-back and confident as her and encourage my kids the way she did hers. It's shocking to hear of how short her illness was but at the same time I know she fought like all h3#! and I'm grateful that she did not suffer so long. Free spirits can't be caged. She is not gone, rather, God simply has other things he needs to use her gifts for that she cannot accomplish in this body. I know that with all my heart.
I am so saddened by Lisa's death. She was my first Nia teacher in Charleston and changed my life! I am eternally grateful to her. May she dance with the angels.
You will keep dancing in our minds And hearts.
