What Joy we across the pond have known as a result of Mr. Thornton's acting. His gift opened our hearts to hear the humor and laugh at what everyday living is about--The JOY in each moment is living each day to the fullest! May the thoughts of those around you bring comfort and keep him to cherish in your hearts

Captain Peacock was one of my favorite characters on Are You Being Served. I watch the reruns on PBS every chance I can. "Are You Free?" was a great line in the show. You were a fine actor Mr. Thornton and your humor lives on in our hearts. God bless you and your family.
