Marvin and family,
Your dad was such a special man. I haven't seen him in years, but have good memories of he and your mom from younger days in Oates. Their love for each other and for others was an inspiration to many. And now they are reunited for eternity. What a blessing and consolation that must be to you all.
My sincerest sympathy during the coming days as you adjust to this new phase of your lives.
Thoughts and prayers,

To you, Marvin. I want you to know that your father was special to my family. I remember, as a child, that my grandfather would be so happy when your father came by to visit. I recognized your Dad as a strong and kind man. My grandfather certainly cared for him. And I have a warm place in my heart for him. I am sorry for your loss.

Mr. Law was a true Southern gentleman who gave back more than he ever received. Just knowing him and spending time with him, Miss Betty, Marvin, Betty Coke, William and Jim has given me an understanding of what being a real christian really means to others. Wish I could be with you all for the funeral but please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Like all of you, I too will miss him!!

A respected and honorable family man, a pillar of the community, a giant in the business of agriculture, and a dear friend to many, Laurie Lawson was truly the Pearl of the Pee Dee. May his family be comforted in knowing that he has plowed a straight row to glory.
