Dear Elise and family of Maria,
What a loss we have all experienced with Maria's death! I too grew up admiring/idolizing Maria, from seeing her perform with the Ballet Russe, and then her unforgettable Firebird, with the NYC Ballet!
May the God of all Peace and Solace embrace you all, as He has embraced her!

I am 14 years younger than your mother, Maria Tallchief, but when I was 14 and for years afterward I was a ballet dancer who loved her from afar. She was beautiful and accomplished. May you have the peace that passes all understanding from the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for all you did for the dancers at the Chicago Festival Ballet. You are loved.

You don't know me but I felt very saddened by your loss when I read of it. Please find comfort in the words "And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be nor more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And look! I am making all things new"

I am sorry for your loss, She's in glory now with Buzzy and Jesus. Love, Debbie

Blessings of peace and comfort. Remembering hearing stories from my Osage grandmother, Hattie Lessert Ingle when we would visit the family farm in Burbank Oklahoma. A beautifully gifted woman who shared her gifts. May your treasured memories of your Mom bring you peace and Spring comforts. Maria

My condolences. I never met her, but she was a guiding light for me when I danced. She was beautiful. Her soul danced.
