Bob was one of the most talented people I had the pleasure to work with in my 32 year career working for IBM in the computer business. His pioneering contributions to the computerization of many aspects of law enforcement cannot be overstated. His work ethic and personality were the driving force in the installation of the first on-line police information system in the world at the St. Louis, Missouri Police Department in the 1964-1965 time frame. As a result of the success of his leadership a small staff of talented individuals accomplished this feat in a short time imposed by political restraints. Subsequently numerous law enforcement agencies around the country, including the FBI followed with systems of their own, many utilizing Bob in a consulting role.

In spite of his success, Bob was a true down- to -earth friend to all who had the pleasure to work with and for him. It was a real pleasure to have known and worked with Bob.

I knew no one that my father, the hero of our lives, admired more than Bob, and in 2016-15, I got to see with my own eyes and understand Bob's extraordinary ways. His brilliant innovations and commitment to working for the public's safety and care, far ahead of its own ability to gauge its own needs, his continual wit and wisdom, and the evident love for his bride and family all set him apart. Oh, how he is, and will be, missed!
