Missing Spoonball...
February 5, 2012
As a fan of Missouri State I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the entire Spoonhour family. Coach Spoonhour was such a special person and such an ambassador of then SMSU that he will never be forgotten. I remember a saying of his that went something like this...if all you had was 50 cents and potential, all you could get is a coke, you have to work hard to make that potential worth anything. Charlie made it sound funnier and better. Glad he got to see "our St. Louis Cardinals" win the World Series before he passed. See you in heaven Coach.

Rest in Peace Coach Spoon

As a recent alumnus of SLU when Charlie arrived, I took great pride in the program he developed. College basketball, the SLU community, and the world have lost a truly inspiring man. God Bless Spoons!!!
