I will truly miss General Johnson. I considered him a friend. I use to watch him in North Myrtle Beach and have enjoyed taking my children to see him perform all over the east coast over the last 25 yrs.

My love and prayers are with the friends and family of such a great man. I moved to Maryland from NC 10 years ago and nothing brings a smile to my face quicker than hearing the Chairmen. I was looking at the calendar to see tour dates and saw the General's passing.

May the God who gives comfort be with the family of General Johnson.
He was a song writer who wrote songs people could understand and loved to sing. It seems that I'm living at the time when we're losing a lot of our genuine entertainers. But we can look forward to the time when
death will certainly be swallowed up forever and we will see our loved ones again.
