I am so sad to hear about Gil Cashion. I have not seen him in years. I was his secretary for many years at GMSPO. When he got promoted he took me with him. He was a wonderful boss. I felt like I knew Randi with how much he would talk about her. Rest in peace.

Randi and family: Gil and I started together in a GM training program together in 1966. We lived together in N.J. and traveled in our early days with GM together. I left GM in 1969 and moved back to Detroit and caught up with Lucia and Gil when they moved to Flint area. Thanks to Gil.....my company was introduced GMSPO and his help was always there. I will always remember our escalades and friendship. Thanks for our friendship. May you rest in piece.

Gilbert and I took the same path .. from Elementary, to West Meck and then to Belmont High and graduated together in 1961.. He was liked by all his classmates and kept things on an upbeat and happy note. No grass grew under his feet.. constantly on the go and always fun to be around. We were so surprised to see each other at Belmont and he chose a most precious girl there.. Lucia Howe.. very popular just like Gilbert.. Lucia was humble and sooo pretty...well I am reminiscing and truly those days were so special and I look forward to now seeing Gilbert and Lucia again someday because of our love for the Lord..My heart goes out to the family and Randi and I know you are so proud of your Mom and Dad.. This written with much love and great memories..

I remember the first time I met Gil Cashion. Because of illness in my family I had chosen to take a leave of absence with GM but had the opportunity to return but to an unknown permanent location. I remember Gil asking me " where do you want to be ". I told him I was flexible but needed to be close to family....within 48 hrs I was permanently located where I needed to be for my family. That is the kind of person Gil was...concerned about not only the bottom line but the individual needs of the people who made that bottom line happen. My sincere sympathy to the family and they all can be so very proud of the legacy this special man left who touched the lives of so many.

I wish to express my sincere sympathy to the Cashion family. May God comfort the family during this difficult time. And may your loving memories sustain you as you endure the days ahead.
