I never met Lou but, I am watching, for the 6th time, The Teachings of Jon. I have watched it over and over with my 3 boys, 11, 9, and 6. I am so moved by the honesty, joy, regret and love of the Owensby family portrayed in this film. I lost my grandmother at 81 in 2011. So sad to hear of your family's loss. What a gift to have a real family with real challenges confronted with love. Keep updating us on Lou's family. You have taught us all a lot! Thank you and lots of love ??,
The Michel Family

Lou Owensby and her CHAANGE group showed me the way to get my life back over 30 years ago. Our loss is definitely heaven's gain.

So sorry to hear of Lou's passing. I am so thankful for the program she started (Chaange). It was a lifesaver for me. Again, accept my sympathy.

Dear Charlton and Family,
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. Lou and I taught together at Queens College and if my memory serves me correctly, I knew you in a tennis class. I remember both of you with fondness. I share your grief on the loss of your sweet mother.
