Dear Danny,I'm sorry to hear about your mother.Hope we can talk soon.Best wishes.
My mother loved to hear you sing. You will be remembered always.
I wrote this poem and gave it to her on April 28th 2010 when she was at charity benefit in Claremore Oklahoma this was my first time to see her so that night I brought her this poem
The Stars had to be lined up just right that night and the sun must have been shinning so bright that day
In some way on that day God sent an angel with a heavenly voice to fill our ears and he prepared that angels heart with lots of love from a big loving family and from god above
Her life was humble in the beginning, she could never imagine what god was plannin
Even in Poverty she lifted up her voice to share with others
That sweet honey alto voice would make its way to millions of ears which god had planned from the beginning
Her sweet smile and uplifting personality drew millions to her but her love of God and family would keep her feet planted firm on the ground
She would endure testing along the way but with god and time on her side her destiny would not be denied
Clara Ann would give way to Patti Page and set the stage for the singing rage
Decades have passed and the gift god gave us goes on filling our ears with that sweet honey alto voice.
The stage is set Clara Ann is coming home where it all began and may it go on for a long to come
Patti,Clarann, Katie thanks from the bottom of my heart for the special touched by god talent you have shared with all of us and just being here tonight is the greatest thrill of my life and if you are reading this you and I have met even though I feel I've known you always love Marilyn Sutherland a friend and a fan god bless
I gave Patti this poem that night and on her 83 rd birthday I emailed it to her again ! God brought me into her life I loved her as if she were family I will miss her and I know I'm not alone till we meet again my sweet Patti
God needed another Angel so he called Patti home to him.Now she will sing her beautiful songs in Heaven. She was a beautiful person inside and out.I had the great honor of meeting her in person and had my picture taken with her.It is one of my fondest memories and i will always treasure it.She was so sweet and gracious to me.Bye,Patti, gone but never forgotten. You left all of your beautiful songs here with us.Thank You.God Bless You.
I'm the DJ that made Tennessee Waltz the gigantic hit it became. I learned of Patti's passing while on a cruise with my wife. It is ironic that i sent an encouraging note on the 28th of December and sailed away on the 29th. The news of her death brought back a flood of memories. I was 22 when she and I connected in Philadelphia. i have the test record she made of TW hanging on my wall with her picture and her note saying "Thanks Tommy for all the years" I was at the recording session with the Mercury records distributor who was selling Boogie Woogie Santa Claus as her next big hit. I strongly disagreed and took the test record with me and began laying it 4 times an hour on my show on WCAM. They told me it sold 25,000 copies in 10 days. That was Nov-Dec, 1950. i never was able to enjoy Patti's hit from my effort because Uncle Sam took me in Jan. 1951 to serve in Korea. She was my gal. I took her to a cocktail party for Frank Sinatra. Drove her at 1:30 in the morning from an engagement in Phila to NYC for her opening at the world famous Copacobana. She almost missed opening because the electric windows in my car went down and would not go up. It was 29 degrees and snowing during the entire trip. He voice left her temporarily. It was a close call. What memories. I'm 84 and going strong in Bal Harbour Florida. I'll dearly miss a sweet and wonderful friend...sleep well Patti and teach the angels to sing like you. Tommy Roberts
Patti was a special person, always a lady with a beautiful voice. Real class act. The best friend a song could ever have.We love you Patti.
Sandy and Phil Groh
May God Bless this family - She was given a Gift and I thank her for sharing it with everyone.
Here we go again? We are loosing all the great American Vocalists. When I heard Patti Page for the first time way back in l950 singing her great rendition of the Tennesse Waltz I knew right then and there that her voice was so beautiful to listen to. Sorry to say today you are not hearing that kind of talent. You have those screamers like Lady Ha Ha and Bruce Bedspring with back up bands that sound like pots and pans. Notice when you heard Patti sing you heard each and every note. She never had to scream and depend on loud amplification . Like the best of them. Anita O day June Christy Julie London Chris Connor she will always be remembered for her sweet loving girl next door sound. We love you Patti and you left America Music with a stamp of approval. She will be sadly missed by all her fans and especially by admirers of great American Music. And by the way each and every one of her songs has tested the time base. Good Music never dies it gets better with Age. Patti always had that unmistakeable sound. Love You Patti forever.
patti you will be missed condolences to your family ruby bond duncan

Beautiful voice - beautiful lady. Thank you for the wonderful songs we will cherish forever because you sang them. RIP Patti.
It was Old Cape Cod. Popular in the late 50's. My husband and my favorite song when we were dating. Patti Page was my favorite singer, all time. I was a dancer and singer named Patty I changer my y to I after her. My maiden name and married name both also started with a P. I didn't know Patti Page wasn't her real name back then. I sang some of her songs, but not like she could. She was the greatest. So sorry she's gone, but will never be forgotten, at least thru this century, I hope and never by me.
I grew up in the fifties and remember Patti as a beautiful lady with a velvety voice. Loved her music then and still listen to her delightful tunes these days. Thanks for the memories, may you RIP Patti!

As a Milwaukee DJ during the banner years of GOOD music was privledged to meet her on her many visits to our city and help introduce her many hits on the air. She was discovered and managed by Milwaukee's Jack Rael. After early on air interviews you realized you weren't dealing with celebrity but rather a regular down to earth person. Patti was a highly gifted and most gracious lady. I feel as tho we have all lost a friend, my sincere condolences to her family. Irv Miller aka Bob White.
I would like to send my condolence to the family, Ā May God bring you comfort during this difficult time Psalms 5:28,29

A lady of class, character and tallent, the likes of which are virtually non-existent in today's society. She's now singing "The Heavenly Waltz" to her Lord.
As we all grow older, somehow the music tends to present itself as the umbilical cord to our memories. Radio & records without the diversion of videos. God placed you, Ms. Patti, at that crossroad of entertainment for a reason. Rest in peace, gracious lady.
I am still wondering "How much is that dog in the window"....But Patti will now know the answer to that...She was a beautiful singer...had the voice of an angel....I am only 60, but my Dad had all of her records and always played them for me....and the tennessee waltz was my Daddy's favorite..
Patti you were blessed with a voice and you will be accepted into heaven as a singing angel.......You will be missed, but always in our prayers.
What an awesome lady and what a beautiful voice, you will always be remembered "waltzing."

When "Mockingbird Hill" came on, my mom bought the 78 for me (I was only small but I'd heard it and wanted it), before she got it home she broke the record. She hurried back to the record store and bought the last copy they had--and I still have it today, along with a bunch of her other records. Nobody could sing like "That singin' rage, Miss Patti Page!"
Ms. Page made "Tennessee Waltz" one of my favorites growing up and our senior choral group sings it as part of our repertoire.
Patti autographed my car a few years ago. I found her website and asked her to autograph it. I couldn't believe when I answered the phone a few days later and I heard, "Hi, this is Patti Page". She met me in a church parking lot, just her and me. She autographed my car and looked over my photo album. I have a picture of Pat Boone with his children and she named each one. What a kind, considerate person she was. Someone as famous as her meeting a stranger and giving her time like that. Very down to earth person. She will be remembered and missed by many of us.
RIP, Patti Page your were my Mom's favorite singer!!
I had the privilege of seeing Patti in concert at the Nashvile auditorium some years ago. She was fantastic. I remember she entered from the back and came singing down the steps greeting everyone. An all time favorite of mine.

One of my favorite singers....she was a lovely lady and a terrific singer. Always a smile on her face...another of the good ones gone.
I will always remeber a fun and remarkable lady who sang, "How much is that doggy in the window?" Clara Ann Fowler, better known as Patti Page, was always an interesting and light hearted singer. She kind of reminded me of Rosemary Clooney. Also, her singing "The Tennessee Waltz." It seems all of the great singers, actors, t. v. personalities, etc. I grew up with are all passing away. Seems there won't be hardly anyone left. I remember the dark haired emcee guy, I forgot his name, on public t. v., here, in Fort Worth and Dallas, it is called KERA, or channel 13, and he had Patti Page introduce a lot of singers of her generation along with Patti getting to sing her songs that made her famous. The emcee guy, for public t. v. said to enjoy and contribute to these wonderful singers, and of course, public t. v., before they are gone for good, meaning, that they will be in heaven one day. How right he was and is. Guess Heaven got a little bit richer and Earth a little bit poorer since Patti is gone now. I know God and Jesus will take good care of her but I sure am going to miss her. Another part of my past, gone forever.
Patti will be sorley by many Rest in peace

So very sorry to read of Patti Page's death. She was a tremendous singer and I loved everything she did. One Christmas song she did that I loved was, I think, called "Christmas Carousel". I remember seeing her walk through the lobby of the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco, are her way to the "Top of the Mark" to do her show in about the mid 1950's and I was so thrilled to see her and she was just beautiful - she was one of my idols as a teenager. Know that her family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers. Once again the music industry and the world has lost a real icon.
My sincere sympathy to the family of Patti Page. She was my favourite singer and I simply loved her television show. Besides the "Tennessee Waltz" I simply loved the song, "How Much is that Doggie in the Window."
Patti Page was an awesome entertainer and we have lost a very wonderful lady. Thankfully, her music will live on. I will continue to enjoy her CD's.
