I spent much time with Craig in an exam room waiting on a friend who was under his excellent care. What fun we had!
Not only was he intelligent, a brilliant surgeon and doctor - he was an amazingly wonderful man. In emails we exchanged book suggestions, tv program alerts, stories. In that exam room we would laugh so hard about one silly/absurd thing after another that his nurse would often come in to tell us to keep it down.
His daughters were always in our conversations. Faith was in his office one day near his 50th birthday and he proudly introduced her. He was so proud of her and Emily.
May your grief be quickly replaced by sweet, comforting memories. And may the fact that your father will live on through the memories of everyone he came in contact with give you solace.
Rest in Peace, Doc.
