Your Uncle Pat, was married to my recently passed older sister. I knew a lot of your kinsmen and served as a Deputy Sheriff, in another mountain county in North Carolina. My hope is that GOD will comfort you all at this time of tragic and un-necessary loss of a fine young peace officer.

To the whole mast family I am so sorry for the loss of william I went to school with him for 2yrs he was one of my friends and he will be missed bad..I can not say the words that I need to say to make this right cause there just ant words but God will watch over william and william will watch over you..I hope every one can find comfort in God our savior may god bless each one of you and you to little william hunter..

Our son-in-law is in Law Enforcement in NC, so the news of Deputy Mast's passing was especially sad to us. We are praying for his family during this time of sadness. May God give you strength for each day.
