Eulogy:
Very few people touch the lives of so many. No matter how busy Grandpa was he would always make time for his family and friends. He would always answer the phone saying, 'Jason my man!' with the enthusiasm that only he had. He had a story for everything and never failed to give me life altering advice. He has been a mentor, a friend, a father figure, and so much more that words don't give justice. I would not be the person I am today without his guidance. I truly am blessed to have been so close to a man like Henry Allen. My grandpa, Henry Allen,is the best man I've ever known.

I knew Henry from sitting beside him at many Thanksgivings where we all ate too much. I knew him from celebrating countless birthdays, where he never complained about being with my family. We spent many Christmas' with him, listened to stories and drank a little, sometimes a little more.

I'll miss his bear hugs, his big smile and his deep greetings. Maybe I took him for granted because he was always there. My only regret is not spending more time with him. I know I could of learned a lot.

He WILL be missed and when I see that empty chair next time, I'll know he is in our hearts. I feel honored to have shared him with you all.

My Heart hurts that I was away ,and just tonight learned of Henrys death. When you reflect you realize that you only get to meet a few "bigger than life people".Like Henry.Conversations at The Palm.Wrote some notes on scrap of paper at my office one day .Outline for helping found Carolina Premier Bank.He seemed too ornery to ever get sick .Thats a compliment .He was shrewd,to the point ,,but loyal, caring, the kind of friend that doesnt change.Ill miss him.

I knew a very different Henry Allen than most of you knew. He was my great uncle and I had the privilege of seeing him come home every year or so. I still got to hear all of his wonderful stories. He was a man with so much knowledge and everyone he came in contact with, he made sure to share that knowledge with them. I will miss him. I will miss him for my grandmother. I am so glad he was able to spend time with my daughter. I am so glad coming back to his home place made him happy. I am privileged to have known him. He is one of the reasons that I am where I am today. Thank you Henry for the things you did for me. Look in on us from time to time. I love you.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Henry but my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends through this very difficult time and the days ahead.

Reading through all the entries I know that I missed meeting a wonderful person who will not be forgotten by anyone that he has touched in this life.

What do you say about Henry Allen? The man who was so much to so many people. Henry was one of those rare individuals who come around once in each of our lifetimes and leave an unforgettable impression. In reading through the guest book entries, there is one common theme, Henry gave me a chance and believed in me. This was how Henry lived his life. To help others. Henry told me on so many occasion's that we are not in the parking or time business, but the People business and he truly believed it.

I had the great fortune of meeting Henry in 1995 after joining Amano and little did I know at that time, but an out of the blue phone call two years later from Henry and 7 little words would change my life forever. "Son, you ready to move to Texas?" We had never had any discussions prior to that, but Henry, the ultimate salesman knew exactly what to say to plant the seed and eventually close the deal. I joined Henry and Associated Time in 1998 and have never looked back. Since the day I started, Henry has been the biggest influence in my life as a leader, teacher, mentor and most importantly friend.

Although he could certainly be tough on the outside when needed, on the inside, Henry was one of the most caring individuals I have ever known. He loved his family, he loved his employees, he loved his dogs, he loved his cars and we know he loved his stories, but Most importantly, he loved Life. He had a zest for life and As he would always say, "the mind never ages". He had the unique ability to touch your life whether you had known him for years or just met him. He never wanted anyone to worry about him, but he always worried about everyone else. He never asked for help, but was always there to help others. These are just a few of the things that we will miss from Henry's passing, but his memory, his legacy and his legend will live on indefinitely through all of the lives he influenced and through all of us that he touched and that he meant so much to. Heaven is a much better place now with Henry there and we are all blessed to have known and loved him. Thank you for being a part of our lives and God Bless you Henry!
