First my condolences to the family. Never got to meet the man, but wish I had the honour of doing so. I saw his heart felt ways on television each time he was at the park. He will be missed by many. Am glad he got his 2004 World Series ring before his passing. Red Sox Nation will never forget Number 6. R.I.P.
The Red Sox now has a guardian angel to watch over them now.

First my prayers go to the family. Never got to meet the man just see him on television, but wish I had. He is truly an icon in Boston and will be missed by many. I never even got to see him play but from what I hear he was terrific. He led a full life. Am glad he got to see the 2004 World Series. I remember watching him on television when he got a ring--how happy he was and how much emotion he showed because it meant so much to him. R.I. P.

I met Mr. Pesky once, in Spring Training 2004. He was very nice, and I was so happy when he finally got his World Series Ring the next April. RIP Mr. Red Sox

Johnny Pesky was one of the kindest and caring persons myself and our family got to meet many years ago when Johnny was at Ted Williams and friends event. Our sons 9 yrs old and 10 yrs old at the time saw Johnny and he waved our youngest son over and placed him up on his knee and just took time to speak to our family and the boys.

What a great and legendary gentleman with a heart for the game and Red Sox that he loved and for all of those he came in contact with.

Our condolences to the Pesky family he was one of those people you meet and the memories last forever.

He shall always remain in our hearts and minds as the most genuine Red Sox fan ever. His presence at Fenway always brought a sense of nostalgia, warmth and love to his fans. I will miss him and his infectious smile. My sincere condolences to his son and family.

Our sincere condolences to David and the entire Pesky family. We have lost a wonderful human being. Staying strong is never easy, but hearing all of the great comments can't help but put a smile on your face. While we are all sad, we can all thank God for the opportunity to know and enjoy Johnny. We will never forget the twinkle in his eyes whenever any of us saw and talked to him. He truly enjoyed it as much as we did.
Rest in peace, our friend. Our memories of you will live with us forever.

I still remember Johnny Pesky night on July 18,1951 when I attended my first major league baseball game. You were great in the field and Ted Williams hit a home run to win the game. Thanks for all the great memories and may you rest in peace forever secure in the knowledge that you were the greatest of all the Red Sox of your time.

My dad is 92, born in 1919, WW2 vet and a huge Red sox fan. He has suffered 3 strokes in the last 8 weeks and he is severely debilitated. He remembers very little, can barely speak. When I told him that Johnny Pesky passed away a few days ago he looked at me and sadly said Johnny Pesky from the RED SOX? I was amazed. He remembered Johhny I think because he was in the same age group and loved Pesky for the amazing ambassadorship he showed through the years. Thanks Johnny for everything form both me and my father.
