Gigi is what I think of when I think a fine Southern gentleman. He has helped shape the lives of his six Grandsons and Kempie. I remember how wonderful it was to meet Granny and Gigi for the first time in DeBordieu; they were such welcoming hosts. I think fondly back to his stately, sincere voice and his positive attitude. His mind stayed sharp as a tack. I treasure our weeks together at the beach house and dinners in Georgetown at The Rice Patty. Gigi left such an impact on his family and community and my husband, Alec. Granny and Gigi's relationship is a model for us. I'm grateful that Gigi was able to know our son, Lawton, and the tradition of bedtime stories with "Dog" will be carried on with Lawton. I feel very honored to have been welcomed into such a wonderful family with a strong heritage. My parents also send their love and prayers to Lucile, Connie, Aunt Sue, Uncle Sonny and all the family.
