It was very nice to live beside Mr. Myers and to have known him. He was a very fun person to interact with and as I enjoy writing it was nice to have someone close by who shared a common interest.

Mr. Myers was the most delightful, inspiring teacher of my undergraduate years at the University of Maryland in the 1960s. Every class was a lesson in life as well as literature, his conversation matchless; he was always in top form in his passion to educate and enlighten. The world was enriched by his brilliance, and his loss will be felt by those who knew him. May he rest in peace and fond memory.
