My sympathies go out to LeRoy Jr., and the rest of his family. I met "Coach" while I was working for the NAIA in Kansas City, MO, in 1991.
He was attending the 50th anniversary luncheon, where 23 out of 26 past presidents were in attendence. We spent time together in New York at the 1993 tennis games. He set up an interview for me at the Olympic Committee
Board meeting in Dallas, Texas, and also with
the USOC in Atlanta, for the games there.
Whenever he came to Kansas City, he always took time to visit with me and my sons. He was so excited to get to meet my first grandson in 1994.
He was a wonderful human being, and one of my favorite coaches. May he rest in peace!
Sincerely, Kelly Bax (Leawood,KS)
