What can I say about the man I worked for for over five years, one word always comes to mind.... brilliant. It was my pleasure and my privilege to have worked for him. I miss him flying up and down the halls, standing in the nurses station discussing his patients and their care, and all his stories. He is sorely missed. Rest In Peace my friend.

I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to Dr. Bronson's family for sharing Darryl with myself and the countless physicians in training that he both taught and mentored. I learned a great deal about dermatology and life as a dermatologist from Dr. Bronson. I am saddened to think that he is no longer with us. My sympathies to you in this time of loss.

I was totally shocked and saddened to learn about Darryl's passing. He has been a wonderful friend and mentor since the very first day I joined the Cook County residency program. I will always remember him. To Paipai and Ariel, our deepest sympathy.....

My heartfelt condolences to Darryl's family. I was one of the many dermatology residents he trained at Cook County Hospital. He not only gave us all a wonderful dermatology education, but also taught us how to be kind, patient, friendly and respectful in our work, because he was all those things to everyone he ever met. Then I was fortunate enough to continue my career not too far away from his private practice . . . and so we continued to be colleagues. I loved seeing him at local meetings as a colleague - he always would stop in his tracks (as he would do for anyone) to say a friendly greeting - seemed genuinely happy to see me. He was a man of much knowledge and importance, but he always made me (and so many others) feel so knowledgeable and important. He had a warm, genuine smile, and never said an unkind word about anybody.

Just the other day, I saw a patient of Darryl's whose beloved dermatologist had just passed away. I was afraid to ask who the dermatologist was - I loved learning from Darryl and being a colleague of Darryl, but this is not what was supposed to happen. As it turned out, this gentleman and I ended up spending a good part of his visit sharing our fond memories of Darryl - both trying to remember if we ever thanked him for all that he had given us.

If I didn't thank Darryl, let me at least thank you, Pai-Pai and Ariel, for sharing Darryl with us residents. I know we took a lot of his time. Just know that whenever he would talk about you two, that ear-to-ear smile would appear on his face. Ariel, I know you must have the same kindness in you that your dad had (and certainly the same wonderful smile) - continue sharing that in his honor.

We found out about Darryl's passing from the owner of a restaurant where Darryl, Pai-Pai and we spent many a wonderful evening. All of us were also patients of his. We are speechless to learn that he will be with us no longer. He was a wonderful man and will be missed. Lynn, Brad and Erik

After reading the beautiful words of Dr. Bronson's patients, I can see what he was such a respected dermatologist. He was a leader in the profession, but nothing matches the love and respect of one's own patients. The Chicago Dermatological Society will miss you, Darryl.

My sincere condolences for you at this time. May God bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

With heavy heart I learned of Darryl's passing. I called on him as a Dermik Laboratories Rep. at both Cook County Hospital and in Highland Park. I read all of the kind words expressed by so many. I can only add..."He made the world a better place". I will miss him. I remember the time he and Pei-Pei had us to their home on Ravin Oaks Ln. - good memories.
