I am shocked reading this. Walt and I were friends at Syracuse, and then we met up again in San Diego and Lake Tahoe. He was a consummate gentleman and a generous and supportive friend. Walt was truly one of the good guys in life: he'd do anything for those he loved and cared about. And he never ever let life defeat him; he always answered the bell. Goodbye my friend and brother.
