Joe,you lived the life that you want with no regrets I'm sure. I worked with you when we were with the CPD and enjoyed every minute.
Joe and I grew up on the Southwest side of Chicago and knew each other for a long time. In fact myself, my dad and brothers used to drink in Joe's family tavern at 53rd and Ashland.
My condolentces to his family and friends, rest in peace Joe,you deserved it.

Mr. Reiter will always be considered a HERO for serving our country during a time when fighting for freedom was essential. You fought in what was considered the " Forgotten War" but you and your brothers in arms will never be forgotten. Thank you Sir for your bravery, courage and sacrifice. May God hold you in his loving arms. Rest in Peace.

I saw this post on a CPD Facebook page and the name was very familiar. I grew up a few doors down on 61st Place and have nothing but fond memories of this family. Rest In Peace, Mr. Reiter. Thank you for your service in both the military and CPD.
