Healy, Major General Michael D. (United States Army, retired) 91 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018. Born in Chicago to the late Daniel and Helen Healy, Mike had a lifetime of service to his God, country and his family. (see full bio at www.storkefuneralhome.com.) In addition to his parents, his brothers, Jerome, Daniel and John preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Jacklyn Maddrix Healy; six sons, Daniel of Los Angeles, CA, Michael of Sarasota, FL, Timothy (Kathryn) of Toccoa, GA, Sean of Jacksonville, FL, Kirk of Orlando, FL and Patrick (Nancy) of Deerfield, IL; ten grandchildren, Michael (Gemma), Matthew (Camila), Daniel (Sunny), Timothy (Nichole), Brian, Elliott, Caitlin, Sarah, Katie (Brian Pflederer) and Anna; ten great-grandchildren, Blair, Ashley, Michael, Morgan, John, Priscilla Jacklyn, Isabella, Finn, Conor and Evelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held in the Old Post Chapel at Fort Myer, with burial to follow in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Dear Kirk and Family: Chrissy and I were very sad to hear of the passing of Michael. Kirk often spoke of his father to us and even showed us his picture in uniform. We know that he was a great man and that he was loved deeply by his friends and family.
