Adie, Steve, Vicky, Marilyn and everyone: There are no 'right words' to bring true comfort at a time like this, but at best all we can do is to try to speak or write what we can, even in our human frailness. Uncle Stas was in that special group I call "tender-toughies". He was a man's man who loved his family deeply, knew what he believed and faced everything with courage, devotion and determination. Even with his occasionally gruff exterior, which mellowed over the years, his essence was that of tenderness and of one who loved and cared about people, loved life and wanted to live it as much as possible. We all want to embrace you and tell you how much we love you all, and sometimes that is superior to any words that you will hear or read. Grief and grieving do not care about humanly-crafted timelines and nobody who truly loves another ever 'gets over' the loss of that person. We merely press on, day by day, in the hope that the world will appear in color once again, instead of the greys and darkness that first appear at times such as this. You will hear many people utter clichés, trying to offer you comfort. Sometimes these good intentions will be acceptable and at other times they may grate on you. Just know that in whatever way people attempt to offer their sympathy, it is meant with care and sincerity, as much as can be summoned up. We love you all and pray for you all during this time. God bless you all.. Your loving cousin......... Brian Kulesza
