My personal relationship with Al Nieman had ups and downs. I'm sure that was true of many students. But he ran a good program. I value the quality of the education I received from Lincolnwood School, even all these years later. It was very well-balanced and prepared me for things to come. My best wishes to his family during this time.

Shirley,
So very sorry to hear of your loss. You and Al were among the first to reach out to our family and make us feel welcome in Walnut Grove; I can't begin to tell you how much that meant to us.
Our prayers for comfort, strength and peace are with you and your family.

After a few very difficult years at Lincolnwood School, we were promised a great principal. We got more than a great principal we got Allan Neiman. When he arrived at the school I became acquainted with him. He was able to turn the school around and mend fences with rival community groups turning Lincolnwood School into an environment where children blossomed. Teachers, students and parents alike loved him. His passing is a loss to not only his family and close friends but everyone he came in touch with. My deepest condolences to his family. May his memory be a blessing forever.

Deep sympathy for your loss. We have such fond memories of Al at Lincolnwood - especially the time that virtually the whole school was cleared out with the flu and he brought chicken soup for the "survivors". He always had time to listen, and he always cared.

To the Nieman family,
There are no words to describe the lost of this dear and caring man. He got my brother and I through some very difficult times in our lives and we're forever indebted to his love. He's the very reason why I chose to send my son to Lincolnwood. He's legacy of love, discipline and understanding rings through those corridors each time I enter the permisses.
My condolences to your family and may God keep you in his arms.
Love,
Nicole Singletary-King
