Arthur Ailes

Arthur C. Ailes, 97 of Morgan Twp., passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born September 17, 1917 in Porter Twp., son of the late, Walter and Elsie (Herren) Ailes. Art was a graduate of Morgan Twp. High School and a lifetime farmer. He was a member of the First Christian Church, D.O.C., Valparaiso, an avid Cubs fan, and a huge supporter of Morgan Twp. Athletics. On November 23, 1938 in Morgan Twp., Arthur married Louise Fryar who preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by his children, Sharon Wiegand of Valparaiso, Roger Ailes of Morgan Twp., Linda Robertson of Morgan Twp., Lila (Jim) McLaren of Williamsville, NY, and Donna Bowens of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Nick Polite. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Leona), Harold (Annabelle), and Robert Ailes and sister-in-law, Lois Polite. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 7th at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church D.O.C. 1507 Glendale Blvd., Valparaiso with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Friday from 3-7 PM at Kosanke Funeral Home 105 E. Indiana Ave., Kouts.
