We are so sorry for your loss. We have many memories of your Mom and family from Delavan. One of our favorites is of her and your grandma making homemade pizzas. They were always cooking! We are praying that all of your happy memories will help you through the days ahead. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

To All of Katie's family, we send our deepest sympathy. Katie was a dear friend and she will be deeply missed. When thinking about all the years that we were neighbors, so many memories come to mind. Foremost, is the memory of Katie cooking in the kitchen with her mom. Her twice baked potatoes were always a big production and fun to watch. Then there was Katie by the pool,..every morning, watering and arranging the beautiful flowering potted plants, arranging the chairs, keeping the deck clean. We had lots of long talks by that beautiful pool. Then there was Katie's pottery class. She made two ceramic ducks for us, which we just loved and which my oldest son carefully unwrapped and put out each spring and then carefully put away each fall. Every time we looked at our ceramic ducks, we thought of Katie..and still do. Unfortunately, one was broken during a bad storm, but we still have one to enjoy. The next memory that comes to mind was when Katie and I decided to go to Glamour Shots for portraits. How that ever came about has long been forgotten but the makeup session, trying on different faux mink wraps, and sitting for the pictures, is burned in my memory. Walking out of the shop, through the shopping center and parking lot, was memorable. With our flashy makeup and curled and ratted hair, we looked like we belonged on the Las Vegas strip and everyone turned and looked at us. When we got to the sidewalk and again in our car, Katie and I laughed till the tears rolled down our faces. Next came the time that Katie agreed to watch our children's hamster when we went on vacation. She was soooo delighted when we returned because the hamster (on top of the dryer) was driving poor Buckwheat crazy and evidently caused much disruption to your family's quiet, peaceful life. And then there is the memory of Katie and Buckwheat. How my 3 children loved to come over and walk Buckwheat. We had no pets, and Katie was so kind to hook up the leash and teach our kids how to walk with him. Then there were the estate sales that Katie and I worked on together with our other friend Barb. Boy, could Katie ever work fast and organize things when someone set her off. She was like the old commercial of a white tornado spinning and running to get things done. Rude people would really fire her up. And the weird ones were the source of much laughter (after they left of course). Over all the years, it was clear that Katie did it right. She was old school, and made the management of a home an art form. She was a great and devoted daughter and a loving and caring mom. Her family always came first. She cooked and cleaned and organized, and always looked great while maintaining a beautiful home. There aren't many that can do that. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to know and love her. Again, we will all miss her so very, very much. The O'Donnell Family
