Cathleen A. Russo, 59, nee Dvoratchek, of Norwood Park. Beloved wife for 34 years to James E. Russo. Cherished mother of Nicholas, Adam (Logan), Kelli and Libby Russo. Proud grandmother of Jonathan. Loving daughter of Nanette and the late Richard Dvoratchek. Fond sister of Richard (Kathleen), James (Jeanine), Larry (Mary) Diane (Jeff) Scaduto and Sandy (Chuck) Tannehill. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Cathy was a beloved Pre-School and Kindergarten teacher for Saint Thecla School for 24 years. She will be missed by countless students, valued colleagues and many friends. A graduate of University of Illinois Chicago Circle, she was a member of the volleyball team at Mayfair College. An avid supporter of AAU basketball, she was a faithful fan and Coach's wife for Regina Dominican, Loyola and Holy Cross/Guerin Prep basketball and Mom/fan for Ripon College Football. Cathy was a frequent Disney World visitor and an avid dog lover. She loved HER Chicago Blackhawks. Visitation Tuesday March 11 from 2 until 9 PM at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago. Family and friends meeting Wednesday 9:15 AM at Saint Thecla Church, Devon and Oak Park Avenues, Chicago, for Funeral Mass 10:00 AM. Miss Cathy was my second cousin in Illinois. How I loved to play with her when my family arrived after our three day drive from Arizona. Her sparkly eyes, the way she spoke, her kindness as a child are fond memories to me. Rest in peace Cathy!
