Santi, David M. 87, of Northbrook, passed away November 12, 2013. He was born in Des Moines, IA to Josephine, nee Biondi, and Francesco Santi on December 6, 1925. David graduated from Highland Park High School and Northwestern University with a degree in political science. He was a WWII Veteran and naval air cadet graduate. David worked for over 35 years at Marsh & McClennan and was the Senior Vice President. He was also the former mayor of Highwood from 1965-1969. David's favorite hobbies included politics, dancing, curling and golfing at Sutton Terrace and with the "Good 'ol Boys". Beloved husband for 62 years of Lenore, nee Phillips; loving father of Jane and Jeff (Tamara); cherished grandfather of Jessi, Jake and David Nicholas; known as "uncle" to Eileen and many nieces and nephews; dear brother of Ray; and a great friend to many people. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary and Anna. Services were held Thursday, November 14, 2013 at St. James Church, 134 North Ave., Highwood, IL 60040. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Church or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O.
