Mr. Triebe was a talented educator who kept control of his class with humor.Funny the 'Howdy Doody' song should come up, because we were talking about this on Facebook. I remember the Triebe family from Trinity Lutheran. His daughter, Pam, had a gorgeous singing voice, and was the best Sunday School teacher I ever had.

Fred (Mr. Triebe) was a teacher of mine at Algonquin Junior High. Interesting I was thinking about him yesterday morning, 40 years later...12 hours before someone sent me the news of his passing. My son came home with a really short haircut and was embarrassed to go to school. I told him about the story of an Algonquin School classmate who shave his head completely for money...nothing but skin...and Mr. Triebe came into shop class....saw the student...started singing "It's Howdy Doody Time" while walking over to the student with a car wax kit for his head... pretending that he was going to start applying some....It was hilarious! All in good spirit. What a strange occurence to be thinking of him that morning. My prayers go out to him and his entire family at this difficult time. I know the pain of his passing will slowly be erased by the great memories thsat you have of him. He made a lot of people laugh, and was a great teacher.
