Pat and i send sympathies to the Fanning family. our most recent encounter was with Kevin while remodeling our Brassie home. as '70 and '72 HFHS grads we know Fannings! Pat's family, the Wells Martin jr. family, were also long time ago flossmoor residents, with 5 kids growing up in the neighborhood!! just this summer i met up with a 70+ y.o. woman who said she grew up in the 'pineapple" house, by Western Ave school. i knew which house she meant! not much turnover with that property!! blessings to the family on your loss of a great man.

George was my first boss at Life Magazine 43 years ago. A true gentleman. May his memory be eternal.

I have fond memories of working with George in the LIFE advertising office in the early 60's. We all had a wonderful time then and it was a pleasure to know this fine gentleman.

I feel peace knowing that Helen and George are now in a heavenly place, with my folks, Kathy & Bob Costello...pain free ...laughing and dancing in the stars. My parents were longtime friends of theirs in Flossmoor, IL. I remember as a young girl watching them and their friends at parties - having the very best of times with each other. Helen and George were very memorable people and my sympathy goes out to the Fanning clan. With love, Marty Costello (Richards) Dublin, CA
