No one is ever prepared for the loss of a loved one, but Dad always did his best to let us know how much he loved and cared about us, and as his usual self, kept us laughing with his goofy puns all the way through his last days. We were fortunate to have a whole year to enjoy everything one more time... One more Christmas, one more birthday, one more camping season, etc. Yes, this is a sad time, but the best way to honor our dad is to remember how much he loved us and to keep laughing.

My deepest sympathy to all members of the Dochterman Family. My prayer for you is to ask God to comfort you with the strength and courage to bear the sorrow you all feel. Only time can ease all your pain and remember that "Doc" was loved and the many good memories you have to reflect on, as this will help you to get through daily life. God is for you a refuge and strength, a help that is there to be found during difficult times. May God provide you with peace and comfort at this time. PS 62:8

Sincerely, DEE

Midge,
Please remember that you are surrounded by friends and family. We are all here to support you at this sad time. We'll never forget the good times we spent together around the campfires. And try as we might, Doc's terrible jokes.
