I'm sorry to hear of Mrs. Payer's passing. She and her husband were friends of my parents from the time they were newly married couples. As a child, I can remember being both facinated and impressed by her travels and adventures throughout her nursing carrier. Her family is in my prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Payer was a very nice lady - so kind. I have good memories of visiting at your house back when I was a kid. She was always so welcoming and friendly.

Ralph, you and your family are in my prayers. Carolyn was special in the lives of so many peiople - including me. We worked together at the NU health Service. I appreciated her professional health care of the ill students. And She also was a gift in my life with her humor, her sense of the fun of life - and just being a good friend as well as nursing colleague. Loved the UNO games at your home, ralph.Peace and love to all of you. may your grief be eased by remembering how much Carolyn loved you.

My condolences to the family. I knew Carolyn when i lived in Rogers Park with my family. Our kids went to school together. I know the loss that her daughters and husband feel.

I am sad for your loss. I knew your mom first as a teeny-bopper. She scared the heck out of me. Later, in to my twenties she was very supportive of a major choice I made. Knew she was proud of my ups & welcomed me to the kitchen table for my downs. She will forever be my photo-model & fellow flower-child & seamstress.
I know she will be missed.
