My mom used to tell about how Miguel payed a truck driver to teach him how to drive, when they were in their teens, and of how much he enjoyed driving, specially an Opel roadster (which she enjoyed, too). Today, I can see Miguel driving his roadster up to heaven, waving down with his unforgetable grin. The Bible says those with a clean heart shall see the Lord. May Miguel see the grace of the Lord forever.

HIS JOURNEY´S JUST BEGUN

Don´t think of him as gone away
his journey´s just begun
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrow and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

Dear Stella,
Mary and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of Miguel. During the mid-70's, Miguel and I had adjacent territories with Roche, and we often met for lunch. He was always so positive and entertaining. He enjoyed my attempt at speaking Spanish.
I last saw Miguel in 2008 when I flew into Chicago for the Chicago Pharma Lunch...he was still smiling and laughing.

Miguel always had the the biggest laugh. We would share a few cold beers and he would attempt to teach me proper Spanish. Narisoncita says you will always be in my heart!
