Sounds like an amazing man with a great family!!! I wish I was able to know him!
I didn't know Bob, but "met" him as I read thru the obits. Sounds like he had a good sense of humor and that is one of the most important things to have in life.
Grandpa Bob was a simple man, but he could take the most mundane story and make it very entertaining. He had many experiences that he could draw from to be the life of many family dinners and parties. His obit was meant to draw the reader in and be entertaining, just like Grandpa Bob! Very little was fabricated, but a bit was embellished.
He was loved. He will be missed.
i'm so sorry to learn of his death. I'm his cousin, Juanita. His mom and my mom were sisters. Bob would meet with my husband, Hal and some friends at White Castle on week-ends for coffee. They will miss him very much, and i will too. He was really quite a character - made people laugh all the time.
I didn't know Bob. I do know he passed along a great sense of humor to at least someone in his family. A well written obit. I hope his humor helps relieve the pain of his loss.
I didn't know your father, but his obit caught my eye. On a lazy Sunday, I found myself chuckling as I read it. Whoever wrote the text captured a man with a tremendous sense of humor.
Offering to all my sincere condolence for your great loss . I am sure that there are many fond memories to cherished and to comfort your hearts . cherished those memories and may God proved to be a source of comfort and strength to all.
I did not know Robert but feel as if I did. I have never read such a wonderful tribute. It was beautiful, funny and really showed his personality. My condolences to your family, you were lucky to have him in your life.
I read the obituary of Mr. Baker and found it quite extraordinary. He certainly lived his life to the full encompassing the love of family and friends. To celebrate many years with a Dad of his stature must have been a wonderful experience. Your Dad, I am sure provided you a lifetime of memories, just reading about his full life brought a smile to my face. Your Dad personified a quality of our Heavenly Father of being happy. May you always treasure his memory.
His obituary reads like the main character in big fish. I can not determine weather someone wrote it to be mean or humorous? Is it possible that he wrote it himself.? I grew up in Berkeley and remember him as a child. I always thought he was nice
My condolences to your family. Although I never met your dad I feel I know him after reading the wonderful tribute. Clearly he left your family with wonderful memories, a great perspective on life and a sense of humor. He'll be long remembered.
Please accept my deepest condolences. May you find comfort in God during your time of grief.

I don't know your family, but I must say whoever wrote this obituary did the finest job I've ever seen. I hope when I go I can have such a delightful send off. He sounds like he was a terrific guy. My condolences.
