Mr. Lill hired me fresh out of college in 1971. He was a very nice person, gentle, smart, and always willing to help. My condolences to the family. I have lost a mentor.

Uncle Bob was a kind, gentle man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a fun uncle when I was a boy. He and my dad, his brother Greg, played chess for hours on end whenever we visited. Bob also loved a good game of Donkey!

Bob was one of the best Scrabble players I know. I enjoyed playing with him, as well as listening to his seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of history, and seeing the sparkle in his eyes when he came to church or I visited. What a great man and a life fully and well lived! Broadway church, and I, will miss him dearly.

He was such a kind, mild mannered, brother-in-law. I still can picture Bob with his children gathered on his lap reading to them when they came to Kansas to spend a holiday with us. There will surely be another empty place in our family without Bob. We love you .
